Surgical planning is strictly restricted to the operating clinic's professionals! During planning it is particularly important to consider the individual characteristics of the patient's donor area (quality, colour and density of the hairs). Taking these factors into account is crucial to asses altogether how many hairs can be harvested from the given patient without visible consequences to the donor area.
The amount of hairs to be transplanted is determined by numerous factors largely based on professional issues, however partially it always relies on the individual consideration and budget of the patient. Therefore, the final decision regarding the number of hairs to be implanted is in each and every case made together with the patient.
Precise assessment of the hair loss and assessment of the required amount of hairs to be transplanted is only possible through a medical consultation.
During planning, lack of experience and practice might lead to severe underestimation of the amount of hairs necessary to achieve the desired aesthetic results! In such cases patients might need further minor surgeries in the future in order to achieve the desired aesthetic results. In experienced hands hair transplantation can often be done in a day!

WHAT IS FUE HAIR TRANSPLANTATION?
Hair restoration as an aesthetic surgery has two known types.
1. FUT method (the so called "strip method" during which scalpel is used).
2. FUE method (in this method hairs (follicular units) are transplanted individually. Follicles are extracted with a special needle (so called "punching device") and other special instruments. There is no incision, thus no scar tissue formation, the results look natural.
There are two subtypes of the FUE hair transplantation method: manual and motorized.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: according to official professional standpoints, THERE ARE NO FURTHER TYPES!
At our clinic we only use the F.U.E. method. We extract the grafts manually, one by one from the donor area (the back of your head) with a fine (0.75-1.00 mm) punch device. No cutting, no stitches (no F.U.T, no strip). F.U.E. only!
WHEN AND IN WHOM CAN THE FUE METHOD BE UTILIZED?

HOW TO DETERMINE WHO IS SUITABLE FOR AN FUE HAIR RESTORATION SURGERY?
In all cases it is required to consult the operating institution before the procedure. Consultations are arranged personally or via e-mail. During a consultation it is examined and confirmed individually in all patients whether the procedure can be carried out and if so what are the possibilities and what results should be expected.
